How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

We have taken all security measures to ensure that our website is secure against any intruders/possible hacking. In the event where the website is hacked SCM Systems or its owner cannot be held responsible for the suffering of any loss or damage to its customers or users.
What third parties we receive data from
SCM Systems is contracted to Payfast for secure payments and data may be transferred between the entities. Payfast is a secure payment processing company with its own privacy policies in place, which would be applicable to SCM Systems as well.
At any given time where direct electronic transfers are made, all security policies and terms & conditions as per the applicable banking sites apply.SCM Systems has Facebook and Instagram accounts that are linked.
What automated decision making and/or profiling we do with user data
Any contact details received, will be used when required, to send/receive emails, make telephone call and send /receive messages.

We want to assure our customers that we have put security measures in place to protect our website and all customer information. We declare that we will not share any customer details or information with anyone outside SCM Systems.
However, in the event where a customer/user has been involved in illegal activities, the above statement will no longer apply as we are obliged by law to share any information with legal authorities.

In the event where a customer uploads any photos or contact information in any of the comment & review sections on this website, such information will be public and the customer is doing so at his/her own discretion and at his/her own risk. We would however urge our customers to not expose any personal data in these sections. SCM Systems cannot be held responsible for any loss/damage/suffering due to any personal/private details loaded on any of our comment & review sections by our clients.
